There have been a lot of questions about the Legal Analysis Paper. Remember that the "occupation analysis paper" was a typo and should have been "legal issue analysis paper." For the actual analysis you need to read a book (it is ok to double up with another classes assigned book) that has some sort of legal issue in it. The type of book and the issue is up to you. If you haven't read "An Innocent Man" by John Grisham I would recommend it. After you read the book, you need to write a 1 page paper that analyzes the legal issue that occured. How you analyze the issue is up to you. Here are some examples:
a. If there are problems with Forensics - what did the police, lawyers, etc...do incorrectly? How could this be fixed for the future?
b. If there are problems with Ethics - what was the problem, why was it a problem, what should have been done?
c. If there are problems with Prosecution - what was the problem, why was it a problem, what should the prosecution have done instead?
d. If there are problems with Defense - what was the problem, why was it a problem, what should the defense have done instead?
Please contact either Ms. Miekina or Mr. Sutton if you have questions.
